Kentucky - Castle and Key | Atlanta + Travel Photographer

I had THE BEST TIME solo camping in the Kentucky hills for my birthday weekend! Kentucky is only 5 hours from Atlanta, which made it an easy and beautiful drive through the Smoky Mountains. My thought was to camp in Tennessee Friday night and do the bourbon trail Saturday and Sunday, however I was too excited to get to a new state so I rode my bike for aprox. 30 minutes around a lake in Tennessee and then finished my drive to Richmond, Kentucky. I came across the best hole in the wall blues bar with an outdoor stage and patio (I love being outside) cheap beer and phenomenal live music. My favorite part of this entire trip was Castle and Key Distillary, it is a must see when doing the bourbon trail, I don’t care what you’ve been told, add it to the list! I loved this place so much I decided I would start taking weddings again if they all were performed here!! Yes, someone was there viewing it for their wedding, and yes, I did leave my card! No ragrets. This trip was one for the books and I will absolutely return and finish the bourbon trial, it may take me a few more trips though!

Who doesn’t love cake in the middle of the day?! Happy One Year Birthday to this handsome guy. We celebrated with a birthday photoshoot and a simple cake to smash up at the studio in Jackson Georgia. Owen was a happy boy during his birthday shoot, even with an outfit change and prop change. We love all things motherhood and baby here at AJ Arts Studio, so adding cake to your photoshoot is a plus to me (I am a cake LOVER). We have multiple package options to choose from when planning a milestone session for your little one. I AM BACK! I am back in AJ Arts Studio from maternity leave, ready to photography these sweet newborn baby girls and baby boys. Pregnancy was hard, y’all. This was our very last baby so I am soaking up all the baby snuggles as I possibly can. We finally got our baby boy. We didn’t find out the gender and that was really fun to me. So that makes THREE kids in the house, not going to lie it gets wild over here. But it has been a lot of fun with a newborn baby in the house. We have the usual sleepless nights and all-day long breastfeeding stretches. So, if you are worried about how your newborn session will go because you guys only got 3 hours of sleep the night before, SAME! Good thing my studio couch lets out into a bed also. Nonetheless I am super happy to be back in the Newborn and Maternity Studio serving you and photographing those little babies and sending you home with pretty products of your new baby!

We did her maternity photoshoot in middle Georgia at Indian Springs State Park, and she was stunning in her white maternity gown. So many pretty places are located here in middle Georgia, just below the state capital, Atlanta Georgia, we forget how abundantly blessed we are with natural greenery and landscapes that surround us. Rivers, old bridges, trees, cobblestone staircase, so much more. Super excited to see her again as a new mom holding that brand new baby in just a few weeks.
